Description: Ralph Turner writes an account of the attempted revolution that occurred in Saigon from November 11 - 13, 1960. He recounts some of the officials' early evening activities, then being woken in the night by gunfire and explosions. After seeing a procession of military vehicles, Turner realizes a coup is in progress. He then tells of the next few days' interactions with troops, finding American personnel, sending reports home, rebel takeover of communication, and then the return of loyal government troops and the retaking of the city.
