Description: Chief Howard Hoyt and Acting Chief Jack Ryan of the MSUG Police Administration Division turn in twelve internal security reports to Leland Barrows, Director of USOM, between August and December, 1957. Report seven is missing. The reports cover week long periods and discuss general internal security, such as issues of military recruitment in provinces, Viet-Cong geopolitical divisions and financing, recent Viet-Cong arrests and general criminal activity, actions of the Self-Defense Corps and the Civil Guard, equipping for various sections, recent surveys and field trips, desertions, refugee movements, propaganda measures by the Vietnamese Government, and lists of criminal activity by province.
