Discussion of the Vietnam Situation by Dr. Reeves, Dr. Brookover, and Dr. Ross, n.d.

Creator: Ross, Bill
Contributor: Barrows, Leland, memorandum subject
Description: A piece is written by Doctors Bill Ross, anthropologist, and Floyd Reeves, advisor to MSU President John Hannah, upon their visit and tour of MSUG operations in Vietnam. They discuss general topics such as their arrival and greeting, the organization of personnel, sections, and the delegation of responsibilities within MSUG, as well as tours of MSU facilities and dinner events with MSU hosts. Their tone concerning their crowded schedule and what they observe is somewhat critical. They go on to discuss issues relating to the Montagnards and what political progress has been made in the areas of land reform, education, and refugee resettlement. Ross and Reeves make a heavily-guarded trip to some of the rural areas around Dalat and give their impressions of village households and lifestyles.
