Letter from John A. Hannah to George F. Montgomery, May 17, 1966

Creator: Hannah, John A.
Contributor: Montgomery, George F. letter recipient
Description: MSU President John Hannah writes to The Honorable George Montgomery in the House of Representatives in Lansing, MI.  Hannah reflects on a quote he had intended on sharing with Montgomery, in which Robert Scheer, an editor of Ramparts magazine, refers to the Viet Cong as "just men -- noble, proud, defiant, idealistic, spiteful, extremely petty, and jealous of their prerogatives..." Hannah goes on to quote a statement made by Warren Hinckle on a New York radio program, in which Hinckle implies that the Vietnam Project was "...principally involved in supplying guns and ammunition in a police-state apparatus to a man later exposed as a dictator."
